1984 Mongoose Californian BMX Bike + Peregrine Master Mags - Rare

For sale is a used single owner rare 1984 Mongoose Californian old school BMX bike. It is all original (including original pads!) except for the following: - 80s era 1st generation Peregrine Master mag rims!! - 80s era Odyssey Gyro - 80s era Dyno drainpipe seatpost - Dia-Compe 128 brake levers - New brake cables and housing (and new Gyro cables) and brake pads - New tubes and tires - New grips It was recently tuned up and is in working order but it does have some rust and chrome imperfections given its age (see photos) especially under the bottom bracket brace area. The decals on the fork are scrapped up as well as some of the other decals from regular usage. I am also including the original pads. The pads are slightly discolored and aged (see photos). Please note: As mentioned above, this is a single owner Mongoose Californian bike and was purchased new from a bike shop in 1984. No stickers have been changed or modified. A question came up about the serial number. This bike was manufactured in May 1984 as seen in the serial number photo. Mongoose used the second letter of the serial number for the month of manufacture up until March of 1985. After March 1985, the second letter is the model. Since this is a 1984 model (first number is a “4” after the first letter “M”), the second letter “E” is the month of manufacture for 1984 frames so in this case it’s a Californian frame manufactured in May of 1984 (as seen on VintageMongoose.com). Due to this being a vintage item and almost 40 years old, it is sold as-is without returns . Make sure you understand what you are buying before bidding.
